Liza trained in London under style luminaries Stephen Jones and Lucy Barlow. The Queensland Art Gallery selected pieces for the 2010 exhibition "Anthology of Hats" by Stephen Jones from the Victoria and Albert Museum.

In 2008 and 2010, Liza won the National Millinery Award. Over the past 10 years, Liza has been invited to judge “Fashions on the Field” and the Victoria Racing Club has used many of her creations for promotions with celebrities such as Rachel Griffiths and Cathy Freeman for racing carnivals and TV coverage.

Liza Stedman Millinery was established in Melbourne, Australia in 1989 and has collaborated with many of Australia's most prestigious clothing designers, creating collections for department stores such as Myer and Bergdorf Goodman, New York.

Liza's hats are in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Victoria. She has been published regularly in the Australian broadsheets and magazines.
